The Glenwood state hospital-school and the Woodward state hospital-school shall be maintained for the purpose of providing treatment, training, instruction, care, habilitation, and support of mentally retarded persons in this state.
A special mental retardation unit may be maintained at one of the state mental health institutes for the purposes set forth in sections 222.88 to 222.91.
