222.67  Charge on finding of settlement.

Where a person has been received into a resource center or a special unit as a patient whose legal settlement is supposedly outside the state or is unknown and the administrator finds that the legal settlement of the patient was at the time of admission or commitment in a county of this state, the administrator shall charge all legal costs and expenses pertaining to the admission or commitment and support of the patient to the county of such legal settlement. The costs and expenses shall be collected as provided by law in other cases.
