29A.29  Payment from treasury--exception.

When in active state service, the compensation of officers and enlisted persons and expenses of the national guard and claims for death, injury and illness of the members thereof, incurred in line of duty, shall be paid out of any funds in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated. However, if funds for compensation and expenses have been appropriated for compensation and expenses of persons on full-time active state service pursuant to a specific Act of the general assembly, such persons shall be paid from funds appropriated pursuant to such Act.
