169.4A  Provision of veterinary services.

A person, including a corporation, limited liability company, or partnership, established on or after July 1, 1994, other than either a professional corporation organized under chapter 496C or a veterinarian licensed under this chapter, shall not provide veterinary medical services, own a veterinary clinic, or practice in this state, except as otherwise provided in this chapter. However, this section shall not prohibit a person from owning an interest in real property or a building where a clinic is located, if veterinary medical services or a practice is conducted by the clinic by a professional corporation or a veterinarian licensed under this chapter.
