1 3 A Resolution honoring University of Iowa football
1 4 player Nate Kaeding from Coralville, Iowa.
1 5 WHEREAS, Nate Kaeding, over the course of his
1 6 career as a University of Iowa football player, has
1 7 been awarded the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker
1 8 Award, and was named First-Team All-American; and
1 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Kaeding set the Big Ten Conference
1 10 single season scoring record for kickers; and
1 11 WHEREAS, Mr. Kaeding set a University of Iowa
1 12 record by making 22 consecutive field goals; and
1 13 WHEREAS, Nate Kaeding set the Iowa point after
1 14 touchdown (PAT) record, the record for most kicking
1 15 points in a game, and ranks third in career scoring
1 16 points; and
1 17 WHEREAS, Mr. Kaeding has been named Academic All-
1 18 Big Ten Conference; NOW THEREFORE,
1 19 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate
1 20 congratulates Nate Kaeding for the success and honor
1 21 he brought to the University of Iowa and to the
1 22 Hawkeye Football Team, and for the teamwork and
1 23 leadership he demonstrated on and off the football
1 24 field.
