1 2 BY SIEVERS
1 3 A Resolution recognizing the achievements of the North
1 4 Scott Little League team from Eldridge, Iowa, in
1 5 winning the Midwest Championship of the 2003 Little
1 6 League Baseball World Series.
1 7 WHEREAS, the North Scott Little League Team from
1 8 Eldridge were the Midwest Champions of the 2003 Little
1 9 League World Series, defeating teams from Iowa and
1 10 many other midwest states en route to winning the
1 11 championship; and
1 12 WHEREAS, the North Scott Little League Team has
1 13 brought distinction to this state by displaying a high
1 14 degree of teamwork, discipline, and effort in
1 15 achieving an overall record of 18 wins and 7 losses
1 16 during the regulation and exhibition phases of the
1 17 series; NOW THEREFORE,
1 18 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Iowa Senate
1 19 salutes the achievements of the North Scott Little
1 20 League Team in winning the Midwest Championship of the
1 21 2003 Little League Baseball World Series; and
1 22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Senate expresses
1 23 appreciation to the team for representing the best
1 24 qualities of Iowans while competing with teams from
1 25 other states and nations; and
1 26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon passage of this
1 27 Resolution, the Secretary of the Senate shall provide
1 28 an official copy of this Resolution for presentation
1 29 to the North Scott Little League Team.
