1 1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY IVERSON
1 3 A Resolution recognizing the Iowa Wing of the United
1 4 States Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol for its
1 5 dedication and outstanding performance of duty.
1 6 WHEREAS, 280 senior members and 153 cadet members
1 7 of the Iowa Wing of the United States Air Force
1 8 Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol voluntarily devote their
1 9 time and talents in providing and administering search
1 10 and rescue missions, aerospace education, and cadet
1 11 programs to the citizens of Iowa; and
1 12 WHEREAS, such members have continuously
1 13 demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and expert
1 14 skills of the highest order and have established
1 15 themselves as a well-led, well-trained, and highly
1 16 motivated organization in providing emergency services
1 17 and disaster relief to the citizens of the State of
1 18 Iowa; and
1 19 WHEREAS, the Iowa Wing of the United States Air
1 20 Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol has served the
1 21 citizens of Iowa by aiding in the development of
1 22 Iowa's youth, performing local, state, and national
1 23 emergency and humanitarian missions, and educating our
1 24 citizens on the impact of aviation and space; NOW
1 25 THEREFORE,
1 26 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate
1 27 recognize and honor the senior and cadet members of
1 28 the Iowa Wing of the United States Air Force Auxiliary
1 29 Civil Air Patrol for their dedication and outstanding
1 30 performance of duty, and further that the Senate
2 1 expresses its appreciation to their families.
2 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That an official copy of
2 3 this resolution be prepared and presented to the Wing
2 4 Commander and to all senior and cadet members of the
2 5 Iowa Wing of the United States Air Force Auxiliary
2 6 Civil Air Patrol.
