1 1 Section 1. The following amendment to the Constitution of
1 2 the State of Iowa is proposed:
1 3 Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Iowa is
1 4 amended by adding the following new section:
1 5 SENIOR LIVING TRUST FUND. SEC. 10. All moneys deposited
1 6 in the senior living trust fund shall be used exclusively for
1 7 the performance and administration of activities related to
1 8 the senior living program as provided by law.
1 9 Sec. 2. The foregoing amendment to the Constitution of the
1 10 State of Iowa is referred to the General Assembly to be chosen
1 11 at the next general election for members of the General
1 12 Assembly and the Secretary of State is directed to cause the
1 13 same to be published for three consecutive months previous to
1 14 the date of that election as provided by law.
1 15 EXPLANATION
1 16 This bill proposes an amendment to the Constitution of the
1 17 State of Iowa to provide that the moneys deposited in the
1 18 senior living trust fund be used exclusively for the
1 19 performance and administration of activities related to the
1 20 senior living program. The resolution, if adopted, would be
1 21 referred to the next general assembly before being submitted
1 22 to the electorate for ratification.
