  1  1    Amend the House amendment, S-5383, to Senate File
  1  2 2298, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 10, line 5, by striking the figure
  1  5 "45,283,894" and inserting the following:
  1  6 "47,363,894".
  1  7    #2.  Page 11, by inserting after line 43 the
  1  8 following:
  1  9    "#   .  Page 51, by inserting after line 17 the
  1 10 following:
  1 11    "Sec.    .  SCHOOL FINANCE FORMULA APPROPRIATION.
  1 12 Notwithstanding section 8.22A, subsection 3, or any
  1 13 other provision of law to the contrary, the revenue
  1 14 estimate agreed to by the revenue estimating
  1 15 conference at its March 19, 2004, meeting shall be
  1 16 used in determining the state general fund expenditure
  1 17 limitation for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004.
  1 18 The amount of the increase in the expenditure
  1 19 limitation over the limitation based upon the revenue
  1 20 estimate agreed to by the revenue estimating
  1 21 conference at its December 8, 2003, meeting shall be
  1 22 appropriated to the department of education for
  1 23 distribution pursuant to section 257.16 to pay
  1 24 foundation aid and supplementary aid under section
  1 25 257.4, subsection 2.  The amount appropriated in this
  1 26 section shall be distributed on a per pupil basis to
  1 27 school districts based upon the district's budget
  1 28 enrollment.""
