  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5384, to the House
  1  2 amendment, S-5383, to Senate File 2298, as amended,
  1  3 passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 28, by inserting after line 47 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  Section 432.1, subsection 6, paragraph
  1  7 b, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 2003, is
  1  8 amended to read as follows:
  1  9    In addition to the prepayment amount in paragraph
  1 10 "a", each life insurance company or association which
  1 11 is subject to tax under subsection 1 of this section
  1 12 and each mutual health service corporation which is
  1 13 subject to tax under section 432.2 shall remit on or
  1 14 before June 30 August 15, on a prepayment basis, an
  1 15 additional amount equal to the following percent of
  1 16 the premium tax liability for the preceding calendar
  1 17 year as follows:
  1 18    Sec.    .  Section 432.1, subsection 6, paragraph
  1 19 c, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 2003, is
  1 20 amended to read as follows:
  1 21    In addition to the prepayment amount in paragraph
  1 22 "a", each insurance company or association, other than
  1 23 a life insurance company or association, which is
  1 24 subject to tax under subsection 3 shall remit on or
  1 25 before June 30 August 15, on a prepayment basis, an
  1 26 additional amount equal to the following percent of
  1 27 the premium tax liability for the preceding calendar
  1 28 year as follows:
  1 29    Sec.    .  Section 518.18, subsection 3, paragraph
  1 30 b, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 2003, is
  1 31 amended to read as follows:
  1 32    In addition to the prepayment amount in paragraph
  1 33 "a", each association shall remit on or before June 30
  1 34 August 15, on a prepayment basis, an additional amount
  1 35 equal to the following percent of the premium tax
  1 36 liability for the preceding calendar year as follows:
  1 37    Sec.    .  Section 518A.35, subsection 3, paragraph
  1 38 b, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 2003, is
  1 39 amended to read as follows:
  1 40    In addition to the prepayment amount in paragraph
  1 41 "a", each association shall remit on or before June 30
  1 42 August 15, on a prepayment basis, an additional amount
  1 43 equal to the following percent of the premium tax
  1 44 liability for the preceding calendar year as follows:"
  1 45    #2.  Page 30, by inserting after line 6 the
  1 46 following:
  1 47    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  The sections of this
  1 48 division of this Act amending sections 432.1, 518.18,
  1 49 and 518A.35, being deemed of immediate importance,
  1 50 take effect upon enactment."
