  1  1    Amend Senate File 2310 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 4, by inserting after line 26 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 602.6401, Code 2003, is amended
  1  5 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  5.   A county of appointment and a
  1  7 county that is not the county of appointment shall not
  1  8 share a part-time magistrate."
  1  9    #2.  Page 4, line 34, by inserting after the word
  1 10 "office." the following:  "The magistrate appointing
  1 11 commission shall first consider applicants who will be
  1 12 a resident of the county of appointment during the
  1 13 term of the appointment."
  1 14    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
