1 3 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 4 clause and inserting the following:
1 5 "Section 1. NEW SECTION. 519A.14 GOOD LICENSED
1 6 HEALTH CARE PROVIDER DISCOUNT PLAN.
1 7 1. A licensed health care provider who is
1 8 successful in defending all medical malpractice cases
1 9 filed against the licensed health care provider for a
1 10 period of five years shall receive a twenty percent
1 11 discounted rate from what the licensed health care
1 12 provider would otherwise have been charged from the
1 13 same coverage.
1 14 2. A licensed health care provider who is
1 15 successful in defending all medical malpractice cases
1 16 filed against the licensed health care provider for a
1 17 period of ten years shall receive a forty percent
1 18 discounted rate from what the licensed health care
1 19 provider would otherwise have been charged from the
1 20 same coverage."
1 21 #2. Title page, line 1, by striking the words
1 22 "noneconomic damages against" and inserting the
1 23 following: "damages against and related premiums
1 24 charged to".
