  1  1    Amend Senate File 2298 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 177, by inserting after line 25 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 161A.5, Code 2003, is amended
  1  5 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  1A.  The commissioners of each
  1  7 soil and water conservation district shall maintain an
  1  8 office located in the district.  The office shall be
  1  9 supported by at least one full-time equivalent
  1 10 position as defined by section 8.36A.  The position's
  1 11 duties shall include providing clerical support to the
  1 12 commissioners and assisting landowners who are
  1 13 interested in participating in programs administered
  1 14 under this chapter."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
