  1  1    Amend House File 2243, as passed by the House, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 1 through 21 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  101.14  USER
  1  6 RESPONSIBILITY.
  1  7    1.  In any action or claim seeking damages for
  1  8 personal injuries or damage to property arising out of
  1  9 injuries or loss due to defects in a liquefied
  1 10 petroleum gas system, or arising out of the condition
  1 11 of any portion of that system, the negligence or other
  1 12 fault of the customer, owner, or other person in
  1 13 possession of or making use of that system relating to
  1 14 the installation, modification, maintenance, or repair
  1 15 of the system or damage incurred to the system, shall
  1 16 be, pursuant to chapter 668, admissible in evidence
  1 17 and considered by the finder of fact as to whether
  1 18 such negligence or other fault was the cause in fact
  1 19 of the accident or condition leading to the injuries
  1 20 or damages."
  1 21    #2.  Page 1, line 22, by striking the figure "4."
  1 22 and inserting the following:  "2."
  1 23    #3.  Page 1, lines 23 and 24, by striking the words
  1 24 "more than twenty pounds of".
  1 25    #4.  Title page, by striking lines 1 through 4 and
  1 26 inserting the following:  "An Act regarding user
  1 27 responsibility and liability with respect to liquefied
  1 28 petroleum gas systems."
