  1  4 REGARDING USER RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO
  1  5    LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS SYSTEMS.

  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  101.14  USER RESPONSIBILITY.
  1 10    1.  In any action or claim seeking damages for personal
  1 11 injuries or damage to property arising out of injuries or loss
  1 12 due to defects in a liquefied petroleum gas system, or arising
  1 13 out of the condition of any portion of that system, the
  1 14 negligence or other fault of the customer, owner, or other
  1 15 person in possession of or making use of that system relating
  1 16 to the installation, modification, maintenance, or repair of
  1 17 the system or damage incurred to the system, shall be
  1 18 admissible in evidence and considered by the finder of fact if
  1 19 such conduct was a cause in fact of the accident or condition
  1 20 leading to the injuries or damages.
  1 21    2.  For purposes of this section, "liquefied petroleum gas
  1 22 system" means any container designed to hold liquefied
  1 23 petroleum gas and attached valves, regulators, piping,
  1 24 appliances, controls on appliances, and venting of appliances.
