  1  1    Amend Senate Concurrent Resolution 101 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 15, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the United States
  1  5 Department of Agriculture consult and cooperate with
  1  6 state animal health officials, including officials in
  1  7 leading agricultural states such as Iowa, in
  1  8 developing and implementing systems necessary to
  1  9 preserve the integrity of this nation's food supply;
  1 10 and
  1 11    BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the United States
  1 12 Congress and the United States Department of
  1 13 Agriculture fully fund the development and
  1 14 implementation of any such systems in order to provide
  1 15 a degree of relief to the agricultural community,
  1 16 including farmers and ranchers, who will share
  1 17 responsibility for a national system for identifying
  1 18 and tracing livestock; and".
