1 1 Amend the amendment, S-3392, to House File 683, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 5, by inserting after line 43, the
1 5 following:
1 6 "DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
1 7 Sec. . MEDICAID PROVIDERS REIMBURSEMENTS.
1 8 There is appropriated from the fund created by
1 9 section 8.41, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 10 2003, and ending June 30, 2004, the following amounts,
1 11 to be allocated for the purposes designated:
1 12 1. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003, to
1 13 provide an increase of five percent over the rates in
1 14 effect on June 30, 2003, for all medical assistance
1 15 program providers reimbursed under the department of
1 16 human services:
1 17 .................................................. $ 8,653,000
1 18 2. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003, to
1 19 increase the dispensing fee for pharmacists to a rate
1 20 of $5.17 per prescription, or the pharmacy's usual and
1 21 customary fee, whichever is lower:
1 22 .................................................. $ 2,178,000
1 23 Funds appropriated in this section are funds
1 24 anticipated to be received from the federal government
1 25 for state and local government fiscal relief under the
1 26 federal Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act
1 27 of 2003 and shall be expended as provided in the
1 28 federal law making the funds available and in
1 29 conformance with chapter 17A."
1 30 #2. Page 23, line 43, by striking the figure
1 31 "59,000,000" and inserting the following:
1 32 "48,169,000".
1 33 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
