PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 458 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 28, by inserting after line 9 the 1 3 following: 1 4 "Sec. . Section 91D.1, subsection 1, paragraphs 1 5 a and d, Code 2003, are amended to read as follows: 1 6 a. The hourly wage stated in the federal minimum 1 7 wage law, pursuant to 29 U.S.C. } 206, shall be 1 8 increased to$3.85$5.15 on January 1of 1990, 2004, 1 9$4.25 on January 1 of 1991,and$4.65to $5.65 on 1 10 January 1of 1992, 2005. 1 11 d. An employer is not required to pay an employee 1 12 the applicable minimum wage provided in paragraph "a" 1 13 until the employee has completed ninety calendar days 1 14 of employment with the employer. An employee who has 1 15 completed ninety calendar days of employment with the 1 16 employer prior to January 1of 1990, 1991, 2004, or 1 171992January 1, 2005, shall earn the applicable hourly 1 18 minimum wage. An employer shall pay an employee who 1 19 has not completed ninety calendar days of employment 1 20 with the employer an hourly wage of at least$3.351 21 $4.50 as of January 1of 1990, 2004,$3.85 as of1 22January 1 of 1991,and$4.25$4.75 as of January 1of1 231992, 2005." 1 24 1 25 1 26 1 27 THOMAS G.
