  1  1    Amend Senate File 458 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 6, by inserting after line 11 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX REPLACEMENT.  In
  1  5 lieu of the appropriation made for deposit in the
  1  6 local government innovation fund in 2003 Iowa Acts,
  1  7 Senate File 453, section 28, if enacted, there is
  1  8 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  9 department of revenue and finance for the fiscal year
  1 10 beginning July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004,
  1 11 $10,000,000 to be allocated to local governments
  1 12 utilizing the methodology for distribution of personal
  1 13 property tax replacement moneys under chapter 405A,
  1 14 Code 2003, by applying the amount appropriated in this
  1 15 section in lieu of the appropriation amount specified
  1 16 in section 405A.2, Code 2003, for determining the
  1 17 general allocation."
  1 18    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
