1 2 #1. Page 5, by striking lines 14 through 20 and
1 3 inserting the following:
1 4 "NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR PLAYGROUND SAFETY
1 5 Sec. . There is appropriated from the rebuild
1 6 Iowa infrastructure fund to the national program for
1 7 playground safety at the university of northern Iowa
1 8 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003, and ending
1 9 June 30, 2004, the following amount, or so much
1 10 thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
1 11 designated:
1 12 To administer the Iowa safe surfacing initiative,".
1 13 #2. Page 5, by striking lines 23 through 26 and
1 14 inserting the following:
1 15 "No more than 10 percent of the funds appropriated
1 16 in this section shall be used by the national program
1 17 for playground safety for administration of the Iowa
1 18 safe surfacing initiative.
1 19 The crumb rubber playground tiles for the
1 20 initiative shall be international play equipment
1 21 manufacturers association (IPEMA)-certified to the
1 22 American society for testing and materials (ASTM)
1 23 F1292 standard. The national program for playground
1 24 safety shall give preference for the purchasing of
1 25 such tiles from an IPEMA-certified manufacturing
1 26 operation owned, located, and operated in this state."
1 27 #3. By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
1 28 internal references as necessary.
