  1  1    Section 1.  Section 533D.9, subsection 2, paragraph b, Code
  1  2 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    b.  The annual percentage rate on the first hundred dollars
  1  4 on the face amount of the check which the fee represents, and
  1  5 the annual percentage rate on subsequent one hundred dollar
  1  6 increments which the fee represents, if different transaction.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill requires businesses providing delayed deposit
  1  9 services, more commonly known as payday loans, to clearly
  1 10 disclose in writing to loan customers the amount of the
  1 11 interest being charged for the loan transaction regardless of
  1 12 the face amount of the check.
