1 1 Section 1. Section 96.5, subsection 4, unnumbered
1 2 paragraph 1, Code 2003, is amended to read as follows:
1 3 For any week with respect to which the department finds
1 4 that the individual's total or partial unemployment is due to
1 5 a stoppage of work which exists because of a strike, lockout,
1 6 or labor dispute at the factory, establishment, or other
1 7 premises at which the individual is or was last employed,
1 8 provided that this subsection shall not apply if it is shown
1 9 to the satisfaction of the department that:
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill disqualifies any individual for any week of
1 12 unemployment due to a strike or lockout at the individual's
1 13 last place of employment.
