  1  1    Section 1.  Section 15F.202, subsection 1, Code 2003, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    1.  The board shall establish and the department, subject
  1  4 to direction and approval by the board, shall administer a
  1  5 community attraction and tourism program to assist communities
  1  6 in the development, and creation, and regional marketing of
  1  7 multiple-purpose attraction or tourism facilities.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill relates to the community attraction and tourism
  1 10 program established by the vision Iowa board and administered
  1 11 by the department of economic development, subject to the
  1 12 direction and approval of the board.  The bill adds, as a
  1 13 component of the program, assisting communities in the
  1 14 regional marketing of multiple-purpose attraction and tourism
  1 15 facilities.
