1 3 A Resolution congratulating the Peace Reformed Church
1 4 of Garner, Iowa, on its 125th anniversary.
1 5 WHEREAS, there has been a decline in the number of
1 6 active rural churches in the state; and
1 7 WHEREAS, the Peace Reformed Church of Garner, Iowa,
1 8 has been continuously active as a rural church for the
1 9 past 125 years; and
1 10 WHEREAS, the Peace Reformed Church of Garner will
1 11 mark its 125th anniversary on April 27, 2003; NOW
1 12 THEREFORE,
1 13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 14 That the Iowa House of Representatives extends its
1 15 congratulations to the Peace Reformed Church of
1 16 Garner, Iowa, and the members of its congregation as
1 17 they celebrate the 125th year of the church's
1 18 existence.
