  1  1    Section 1.  Section 321.152, subsection 1, Code 2003, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    1.  Four Ten percent of the total collection for each
  1  4 annual or semiannual vehicle registration and each duplicate
  1  5 registration card or plate issued.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill provides that a county treasurer may retain 10
  1  8 percent from the total fee collected for each motor vehicle
  1  9 registration and each duplicate registration card or plate
  1 10 issued.  Currently, the amount that may be retained is 4
  1 11 percent.
