1 4 REQUIRING STATE GOVERNMENT ANNUAL REPORTS MADE TO THE GENERAL
1 5 ASSEMBLY TO INCLUDE CERTAIN FINANCIAL INFORMATION.

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 7A.2A ANNUAL REPORTS –
1 10 FINANCIAL INFORMATION.
1 11 An annual report issued by a state official, board,
1 12 commission, department, or independent agency that is required
1 13 by law to be submitted to the general assembly shall include a
1 14 financial information section pertaining to the topic of the
1 15 report. The financial information shall include but is not
1 16 limited to budget and actual revenue and expenditure
1 17 information for the fiscal year covered by the annual report
1 18 and for the previous fiscal year and may include budget
1 19 information for future fiscal years. In addition to any
1 20 narrative, the financial information shall be provided in
1 21 graphic form utilizing a columnar format.
