  1  1    Section 1.  Section 2.49, Code 2003, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  7.  Provide estimates of tax compliance
  1  4 costs when providing fiscal notes for revenue-generating
  1  5 bills.  The estimate of tax compliance costs shall include the
  1  6 assumptions upon which the estimate is made.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill requires the legislative fiscal bureau to provide
  1  9 estimates of tax compliance when fiscal notes are provided for
  1 10 revenue-generating bills.  The bill also requires the
  1 11 estimates to include the assumptions used to determine the
  1 12 estimates.
