  1  4 PROVIDING THAT REVENUES DEPOSITED IN THE STATE CONSERVATION FUND
  1  5    ARE TEMPORARILY EXEMPT FROM REVERSION AND PROVIDING AN
  1  6    EFFECTIVE DATE.

  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 456A.17, Code 2003, is amended by
  1 11 adding the following new unnumbered paragraph after unnumbered
  1 12 paragraph 6:
  1 13    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  Notwithstanding section 8.33,
  1 14 revenues deposited in the state conservation fund, and
  1 15 remaining in the state conservation fund on June 30 of any
  1 16 fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund of the state
  1 17 but shall remain available for expenditure for one year after
  1 18 the close of the fiscal year during which such revenues were
  1 19 deposited.  Any such revenues remaining unexpended at the end
  1 20 of the one-year period during which the revenues are available
  1 21 for expenditure shall revert to the general fund of the state.
  1 22    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 23 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
