  1  4 RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE IOWA EGG COUNCIL.

  1  6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  7 
  1  8    Section 1.  Section 184.6, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code
  1  9 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1 10    The Iowa egg council established under this chapter shall
  1 11 be composed of seven members.  Each member must be a natural
  1 12 person who is a resident of this state and a producer or an
  1 13 officer, equity owner, or employee of a producer.  A producer
  1 14 shall not be represented by more than once on two members of
  1 15 the council.  Two persons shall represent large producers, two
  1 16 persons shall represent medium producers, and three persons
  1 17 shall represent small producers.  The council shall adopt
  1 18 rules pursuant to chapter 17A establishing classifications for
  1 19 large, medium, and small producers.  The following persons or
  1 20 their designees shall serve as ex officio nonvoting members:
