1 1 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 8
1 2 By Rants and Myers
1 3 A House Concurrent Resolution relating to a
1 4 biennial memorial session.
1 5 WHEREAS, it has been the custom to hold a biennial
1 6 memorial session in recognition of the public service
1 7 of departed members of the General Assembly; and
1 8 WHEREAS, both the House of Representatives and the
1 9 Senate desire to participate in such an observance;
1 10 NOW THEREFORE,
1 11 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, THE
1 12 SENATE CONCURRING, That an evening session of the
1 13 Eightieth General Assembly be held in the Senate
1 14 Chamber on Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at 7:00 p.m.
1 15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a joint committee of
1 16 eight members be appointed, four from the Senate to be
1 17 appointed by the President of the Senate, and four
1 18 from the House to be appointed by the Speaker of the
1 19 House, to make suitable arrangements for a joint
1 20 memorial session.
