  1  1    Amend the Senate amendment, H-8568, to House File
  1  2 2302, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the House,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 6, by inserting after line 7 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  99D.9A  MORATORIUM.
  1  7    The commission shall not issue a license to conduct
  1  8 pari-mutuel wagering at a racetrack pursuant to this
  1  9 chapter as provided in section 99F.4C."
  1 10    #2.  Page 13, by inserting after line 47 the
  1 11 following:
  1 12    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  99F.4C  MORATORIUM FOR
  1 13 ISSUANCE OF LICENSES FOR GAMBLING GAMES AND PARI-
  1 14 MUTUEL WAGERING.
  1 15    1.  Commencing with the effective date of this
  1 16 section of this Act, the commission shall not issue a
  1 17 license to conduct pari-mutuel wagering at a racetrack
  1 18 pursuant to chapter 99D or to conduct gambling games
  1 19 on an excursion boat or at a pari-mutuel racetrack
  1 20 pursuant to this chapter.  However, this moratorium
  1 21 shall not apply to the granting of a table games
  1 22 license as provided by this chapter.
  1 23    2.  This section does not affect the validity of a
  1 24 license issued by the commission pursuant to chapter
  1 25 99D or this chapter before the effective date of this
  1 26 section of this Act or the authority of the commission
  1 27 to suspend, revoke, transfer, or renew a license
  1 28 issued before the effective date of this section of
  1 29 this Act pursuant to chapter 99D or this chapter."
  1 30    #3.  By striking page 20, line 22, through page 21,
  1 31 line 8.
  1 32    #4.  Page 29, by inserting after line 10 the
  1 33 following:
  1 34    "   .  The section of this Act enacting section
  1 35 99F.4C, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
  1 36 effect upon enactment."
  1 37    #5.  Page 29, by striking lines 35 through 37.
  1 38    #6.  By renumbering as necessary.
