  1  1    Amend Senate File 2298, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 167, by inserting after line 31 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "In addition to the amount appropriated in this
  1  6 subsection, there is transferred from the moneys
  1  7 credited during the fiscal year beginning July 1,
  1  8 2004, to the depreciation fund maintained by the
  1  9 department of administrative services pursuant to
  1 10 section 8A.365, for purposes of the motor pool, to the
  1 11 vehicle depreciation account maintained by the
  1 12 department of public safety for vehicles utilized by
  1 13 the division of the Iowa state patrol.  During the
  1 14 fiscal year the department of administrative services
  1 15 shall credit to the depreciation fund at least
  1 16 $475,000 for purposes of the motor pool.  The moneys
  1 17 shall be transferred to the department of public
  1 18 safety on a monthly basis.  Moneys transferred
  1 19 pursuant to this paragraph are appropriated to the
  1 20 department of public safety for purposes of vehicle
  1 21 replacement for the division of the Iowa state patrol.
  1 22 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys transferred in
  1 23 this paragraph that remain unencumbered or unobligated
  1 24 at the close of the fiscal year shall not revert but
  1 25 shall remain available for expenditure from the
  1 26 department of public safety's vehicle depreciation
  1 27 account for the purposes designated until the close of
  1 28 the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2005."
