EDUCATION FUNDING – APPROPRIATION. 1 9 There is appropriated from the grow Iowa values fund 1 10 created in section 15G.108 to the department of 1 11 education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, 1 12 and ending June 30, 2005, the following amount, or so 1 13 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the 1 14 purpose designated: 1 15 To supplement amounts appropriated pursuant to 1 16 section 257.16 from the general fund of the state to 1 17 pay the foundation aid and supplementary aid under 1 18 section 257.4, subsection 2: 1 19 .................................................. $ 41,000,000 1 20 The amount appropriated pursuant to this section 1 21 shall be in addition to, and shall not replace, funds 1 22 otherwise appropriated pursuant to section 257.16 for 1 23 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, and ending 1 24 June 30, 2005, and shall be distributed on a per pupil 1 25 basis to school districts based upon the district's 1 26 budget enrollment. 1 27 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated 1 28 in this section that remain unencumbered or 1 29 unobligated at the close of the fiscal year shall not 1 30 revert but shall remain available for expenditure for 1 31 the purposes designated."" 1 32 #2.
