1 2 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 29 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 101. NEW SECTION. 167.22 CHRONIC WASTING
1 5 DISEASE.
1 6 1. As used in this section "chronic wasting
1 7 disease" means the same as defined in section 170.1.
1 8 2. Except as otherwise provided in this
1 9 subsection, a person licensed under this chapter shall
1 10 not transport the carcass of a deer or elk into this
1 11 state if the carcass originates from an area outside
1 12 this state that has a significant prevalence of
1 13 chronic wasting disease as determined by the state
1 14 veterinarian. In order to transport the carcass into
1 15 this state, the person must obtain approval by the
1 16 state veterinarian in a manner and according to
1 17 procedures required by the department."
1 18 #2. Page 3, by inserting after line 31 the
1 19 following:
1 20 "Sec. . EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 101 of this
1 21 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 22 effect upon enactment."
1 23 #3. Title page, line 1, by striking the word
1 24 "and".
1 25 #4. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 26 word "penalties" the following: ", and providing for
1 27 an effective date".
