  1  1    Amend Senate File 2044, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE – RETROACTIVE
  1  6 APPLICABILITY.  This Act, being deemed of immediate
  1  7 importance, takes effect upon enactment and is
  1  8 retroactively applicable to July 1, 2003, and is
  1  9 applicable on and after that date."
  1 10    #2.  Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
  1 11 word "stroke" the following:  "and providing an
  1 12 effective date and retroactive applicability
  1 13 provision".
  1 14    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
