1 2 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 1 through 13 and
1 3 inserting the following:
1 4 "Section 1. GROW IOWA VALUES FUND FUNDING SOURCES
1 5 TASK FORCE.
1 6 1. By December 15, 2004, a grow Iowa values fund
1 7 funding sources task force shall file a report with
1 8 the governor and the general assembly identifying a
1 9 permanent funding source or sources for the grow Iowa
1 10 values fund that would allow the deposit of at least
1 11 seventy-five million dollars in the grow Iowa values
1 12 fund each fiscal year during the fiscal period
1 13 beginning July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2010.
1 14 2. The task force shall consist of six legislator
1 15 members, the director of the department of economic
1 16 development or the director's designee, the director
1 17 of the department of revenue or the director's
1 18 designee, and three members of the general public.
1 19 a. The six legislator members shall consist of the
1 20 following:
1 21 (1) Two members of the majority party in the
1 22 senate designated by the majority leader of the
1 23 senate.
1 24 (2) One member of the minority party in the senate
1 25 designated by the minority leader of the senate.
1 26 (3) Two members of the majority party in the house
1 27 of representatives designated by the speaker of the
1 28 house of representatives.
1 29 (4) One member of the minority party in the house
1 30 of representatives designated by the minority leader
1 31 of the house of representatives.
1 32 b. The three members of the general public shall
1 33 be jointly designated by the majority leader of the
1 34 senate and the speaker of the house of representatives
1 35 and shall represent business interests.
1 36 3. The director of the department of economic
1 37 development or the director's designee shall serve as
1 38 the chairperson of the task force."
