  1  1    Amend House File 2497 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 14 through 16, and
  1  3 inserting the following:  "this state,".
  1  4    #2.  By striking page 3, line 29, through page 4,
  1  5 line 6.
  1  6    #3.  Page 4, by inserting after line 6, the
  1  7 following:
  1  8    "Sec.    .  SPAN OF CONTROL.  The department of
  1  9 administrative services, in consultation with the
  1 10 department of management and after discussion and
  1 11 collaboration with executive branch agencies, shall
  1 12 pursue a goal of increasing the ratio of the number of
  1 13 employees per supervisor for executive branch agencies
  1 14 in the aggregate to twelve employees for one
  1 15 supervisor by December 31, 2005."
  1 16    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
