  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  NEW SECTION.  86.16  HEARINGS –
  1  5 SCHEDULING.
  1  6    Pursuant to rules adopted under chapter 17A, all
  1  7 contested cases before the workers' compensation
  1  8 commissioner shall be brought to issue and heard on a
  1  9 date that is no more than fourteen months from the
  1 10 date the original notice and petition is filed, except
  1 11 that a continuance for a hearing date later than
  1 12 fourteen months from the date of filing may be granted
  1 13 upon a showing of good cause."
