1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Section 1. Section 229.1B, Code 2003, is amended
1 5 to read as follows:
1 6 229.1B SINGLE ENTRY POINT PROCESS.
1 7 1. Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter
1 8 to the contrary, any person whose hospitalization
1 9 expenses are payable in whole or in part by a county
1 10 shall be subject to all requirements of the single
1 11 entry point process.
1 12 2. The county single entry point process
1 13 administrator shall develop a plan for addressing
1 14 emergency examinations and placements made under this
1 15 chapter. The plan shall be developed in consultation
1 16 with representatives of the community mental health
1 17 centers and hospitals providing emergency services in
1 18 that county. The plan shall include but is not
1 19 limited to a process for the administrator or the
1 20 administrator's designee to provide the court with a
1 21 placement recommendation as required by this chapter."
