1 1 Amend the amendment, H-8101, to House File 2302 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. By striking page 1, line 1, through page 2,
1 4 line 17, and inserting the following:
1 5 "Amend House File 2302 as follows:
1 6 # . By striking everything after the enacting
1 7 clause and inserting the following:
1 8 "Section 1. NEW SECTION. 99D.9A MORATORIUM.
1 9 The commission shall not issue a license to conduct
1 10 pari-mutuel wagering at a racetrack pursuant to this
1 11 chapter as provided in section 99F.4C.
1 12 Sec. 2. NEW SECTION. 99F.4C MORATORIUM FOR
1 13 ISSUANCE OF LICENSES FOR GAMBLING GAMES AND PARI-
1 14 MUTUEL WAGERING AND ON THE NUMBER OF GAMBLING GAMES OR
1 15 SLOT MACHINES.
1 16 1. Commencing with the effective date of this
1 17 section of this Act, the commission shall not issue a
1 18 license to conduct pari-mutuel wagering at a racetrack
1 19 pursuant to chapter 99D or to conduct gambling games
1 20 on an excursion boat or at a pari-mutuel racetrack
1 21 pursuant to this chapter.
1 22 2. Commencing with the effective date of this
1 23 section of this Act, the commission shall not
1 24 authorize any of the following:
1 25 a. An increase in the number of gambling games or
1 26 the number of slot machines on an excursion gambling
1 27 boat.
1 28 b. An increase in the number of slot machines at a
1 29 pari-mutuel racetrack.
1 30 3. This section does not affect the validity of a
1 31 license issued by the commission pursuant to chapter
1 32 99D or this chapter before the effective date of this
1 33 section of this Act or the authority of the commission
1 34 to suspend, revoke, transfer, or renew a license
1 35 issued before the effective date of this section of
1 36 this Act pursuant to chapter 99D or this chapter.
1 37 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
1 38 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment."
1 39 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 through 9 and
1 40 inserting the following: "An Act imposing a
1 41 moratorium for issuance of licenses for gambling games
1 42 and pari-mutuel wagering and providing an effective
1 43 date.""
