  1  1    Amend House File 2208 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 29, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 97B.66, unnumbered paragraph 2,
  1  5 Code Supplement 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    The contributions paid by the vested or retired
  1  7 member shall be equal to the accumulated contributions
  1  8 as defined in section 97B.1A, subsection 2, by the
  1  9 member for the applicable period of service, and the
  1 10 employer contribution for the applicable period of
  1 11 service under the teachers insurance and annuity
  1 12 association college retirement equities fund teachers
  1 13 insurance and annuity association-college retirement
  1 14 equities fund (TIAA-CREF), that would have been or had
  1 15 been contributed by the vested or retired member and
  1 16 the employer, if applicable, plus interest on the
  1 17 contributions that would have accrued for the
  1 18 applicable period from the date the previous
  1 19 applicable period of service commenced under this
  1 20 retirement system or from the date the service of the
  1 21 member in the teachers insurance and annuity
  1 22 association-college retirement equities fund (TIAA-
  1 23 CREF) commenced to the date of payment of the
  1 24 contributions by the member as provided in section
  1 25 97B.70."
  1 26    #2.  Page 26, line 20, by inserting after the word
  1 27 "Code" the following:  "Supplement".
  1 28    #3.  Page 32, by striking lines 23 through 33.
  1 29    #4.  Page 37, lines 18 and 19, by striking the word
  1 30 "medicare-certified" and inserting the following:
  1 31 "medicare-certified Medicare-certified".
  1 32    #5.  Page 37, line 20, by striking the word
  1 33 "medicare-certified" and inserting the following:
  1 34 "medicare-certified Medicare-certified".
  1 35    #6.  Page 37, lines 25 and 26, by striking the word
  1 36 "MEDICARE-certified" and inserting the following:
  1 37 "MEDICARE-certified Medicare-certified".
  1 38    #7.  By renumbering as necessary.
