  1  1    Amend Senate File 440, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking line 3 and inserting the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "1.  For the school budget year beginning July 1,
  1  6 2004, and".
  1  7    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 20 the
  1  8 following:
  1  9    "2.  Notwithstanding subsection 1, the amount
  1 10 appropriated for nonpublic school transportation costs
  1 11 shall not exceed one hundred percent of the actual
  1 12 amount required for the payment of transportation
  1 13 claims or reimbursements pursuant to sections 285.2
  1 14 and 285.3, and shall not exceed an amount equivalent
  1 15 to an expenditure of twenty dollars per pupil for the
  1 16 purchase of textbooks pursuant to section 301.1."
