1 5 "STATE COMMISSIONER OF ELECTIONS
1 6 Sec. . There is appropriated from the rebuild
1 7 Iowa infrastructure fund to the state commissioner of
1 8 elections for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003,
1 9 and ending June 30, 2004, the following amount, or so
1 10 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
1 11 purpose designated:
1 12 For the purchase and installation of voting
1 13 machines, notwithstanding section 8.57, subsection 5,
1 14 paragraph "c":
1 15 .................................................. $ 1,263,000
1 16 The state commissioner of elections shall report to
1 17 the general assembly regarding the expenditure of the
1 18 moneys appropriated in this section by January 2,
1 19 2004, and July 1, 2004."
