  1  3 "homes." the following:  "This section does not apply
  1  4 to a vehicle with a certificate of title bearing a
  1  5 designation that the vehicle was previously titled on
  1  6 a salvage certificate of title pursuant to section
  1  7 321.52, subsection 4, paragraph "b", or to vehicles
  1  8 with a certificate of title bearing a "REBUILT" or
  1  9 "SALVAGE" designation pursuant to section 321.24,
  1 10 subsection 4 or 5."
