  1  1    Amend Senate File 390, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 7, by striking lines 23 through 28, and
  1  4 inserting the following:  "proposed to be included in
  1  5 the consolidation.  The charter shall only apply to an
  1  6 incorporated area in which a majority of the votes
  1  7 cast on the charter in the incorporated area favors
  1  8 the proposal.  The charter shall only apply to the
  1  9 county if a majority of the votes cast in each of the
  1 10 incorporated areas and in the unincorporated areas of
  1 11 the county favors the proposal.  The consolidation
  1 12 charter shall be effective in regard".
  1 13    #2.  Page 17, by striking lines 8 through 13, and
  1 14 inserting the following:  "participation in the
  1 15 commonwealth charter.  The community commonwealth
  1 16 charter shall only apply to an incorporated area in
  1 17 which a majority of the votes cast on the charter in
  1 18 the incorporated area favors the proposal.  The
  1 19 community commonwealth charter shall only apply to the
  1 20 county if a majority of the votes cast in each of the
  1 21 incorporated areas and in the unincorporated areas of
  1 22 the county favors the proposal."
