Senate Study Bill 1179

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 317.17, Code 2001, is amended to read
  1  2 as follows:
  1  3    317.17  ADDITIONAL NOXIOUS WEEDS.
  1  4    The board of supervisors shall may order the weed
  1  5 commissioner, or commissioners, to destroy or cause to be
  1  6 destroyed any new weeds declared to be noxious by the
  1  7 secretary of agriculture, the cost of which shall be borne by
  1  8 the county.  
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides that a county board of supervisors may
  1 11 order the destruction of new noxious weeds by the weed
  1 12 commissioner rather than requiring the board to make such an
  1 13 order.
