1 1 Section 1. Section 260G.4A, Code 2001, is amended by
1 2 adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 6. Pursuant to an agreement or a
1 4 statement of intent to enter into an agreement dated on or
1 5 after July 1, 2000, program job credits may be allocated
1 6 retroactively to program costs incurred on or after July 1,
1 7 2000.
1 8 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE – RETROACTIVE APPLICABILITY. This
1 9 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon
1 10 enactment and is retroactively applicable to July 1, 2000, and
1 11 is applicable on and after that date.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill amends the accelerated career education program
1 14 in relation to using program job credits to meet program job
1 15 costs. The bill provides that, pursuant to an agreement or a
1 16 statement of intent to enter into an agreement dated on or
1 17 after July 1, 2000, program job credits may be allocated
1 18 retroactively to program costs incurred on or after July 1,
1 19 2000.
1 20 The bill takes effect upon enactment and is retroactively
1 21 applicable to July 1, 2000.
