1 1 Section 1. Section 49.57, subsection 2, Code 2001, is
1 2 amended to read as follows:
1 3 2. In the area of the general election ballot for straight
1 4 party voting, the party names shall be printed in capital
1 5 letters of uniform size, in not less than twelve point type.
1 6 After the name of each candidate for a partisan office the
1 7 name of the candidate's political party shall be printed in at
1 8 least six point type. After the title of the partisan office,
1 9 the annual salary of the office for the fiscal year ending
1 10 prior to the election shall be printed in at least six point
1 11 type.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill requires that the annual salary for partisan
1 14 offices be printed on the general election ballot after the
1 15 title of the office.
