1 4 RELATING TO THE DRY FIRE HYDRANT AND RURAL WATER SUPPLY
1 5 EDUCATION AND DEMONSTRATION PROJECT.

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. DRY FIRE HYDRANTS. For purposes of the dry
1 10 fire hydrant and rural water supply education and
1 11 demonstration project created in 1998 Iowa Acts, chapter 1219,
1 12 and administered by the department of economic development,
1 13 "dry fire hydrant" means a water supply system permanently
1 14 installed in existing lakes, ponds, streams, holding tanks, or
1 15 other water sources that provide a ready means of water to be
1 16 transported by a fire tanker truck.
