  1  1    Section 1.  Section 232.141, subsection 4, Code 2001, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1  3    NEW PARAGRAPH.  d.  Expenses of a child whose placement
  1  4 continues at a detention facility for more than three days
  1  5 following the entry of a dispositional order under section
  1  6 232.52.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill amends Code section 232.141, relating to juvenile
  1  9 justice expenses, to provide for state liability for payment
  1 10 for expenses of a child whose placement in a juvenile
  1 11 detention facility continues for more than three days
  1 12 following the entry of a dispositional order for placement.
